Netflix has unveiled a new standalone app dedicated to kids’ games, expanding its offerings beyond streaming services. The app, called Netflix Playground, is included with a Netflix subscription and boasts a growing library of child-friendly games without ads or in-app purchases.
Targeted at children aged eight and under, Netflix Playground features games based on popular kids’ shows like ‘Peppa Pig’ and ‘Sesame Street.’ Initially available in key markets, the app will go global by April 28, accessible on both iOS and Android devices. Notably, it allows offline usage, catering to on-the-go entertainment needs, like during flights or errands.
Netflix aims to offer an immersive experience, intertwining viewing and interactive play. Despite previous setbacks in the gaming space, the company continues to innovate, leveraging beloved characters to engage young audiences.
