Anthropic has expanded its Claude AI assistant with a new set of connectors for creative and design software, including Adobe Creative Cloud, Blender, Autodesk Fusion, Ableton, and others. The additions, announced in May 2026, allow users to control these applications through natural language prompts rather than manual menu navigation.
The San Francisco-based AI company made the move shortly after launching a Microsoft 365 connector for Claude. Anthropic stated the goal is to make it easier for creative professionals to use Claude for their work by removing friction and handling repetitive tasks — not to replace creative professionals themselves. “Claude can’t replace taste or imagination, but it can open up new ways of working — faster and more ambitious ideation, a more expansive skill set, and the ability for creatives to take on larger-scale projects,” the company wrote in a blog post.
A standout addition is the Adobe connector, which links Claude to more than 50 tools across Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Lightroom, Express, and Firefly. Users can upload images and request specific edits — such as balancing lighting or blurring backgrounds — and the system determines which tools to use and in what order. The connector also supports video reformatting for platforms like YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels, batch photo processing, and social asset creation using Express templates.
Other connectors include Blender, which gives users a natural-language interface to Blender’s Python API; Autodesk Fusion, which allows designers and engineers to create and modify 3D models through conversation; and SketchUp, which lets users describe a space and open a 3D model directly in the app. Music-focused connectors cover Ableton Live documentation, Splice’s royalty-free sample catalog, and real-time control of Resolume Arena and Wire for live visual performances.
The additions suggest Anthropic is positioning Claude as a workflow tool across professional creative industries, with the connectors enabling the AI to directly manipulate project files and move assets between applications without manual handoffs.
