Spotify has recently expanded its Prompted Playlists feature to encompass podcasts, aiming to simplify the process for Premium users to discover new shows. Initially introduced as a beta feature in December for music playlists only, Prompted Playlists now extend to podcasts. By utilizing text prompts to guide the algorithm towards specific genres or themes, users can generate personalized podcast playlists.
The updated feature, still in beta, is currently accessible in English for Premium users in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Sweden. Users can employ natural language text prompts to curate podcast playlists. The AI-curated playlist includes a mix of popular and lesser-known podcast shows, with each episode accompanied by an AI-generated description aligning it with the user’s prompt.
